the Murrindindi Beanie & fibre Festival July the 24 – 25th
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SCHOOL ENTRIES BEING RECEIVED IN 2022.
Beanies and you – Work, Play, Create
Beanies can be made of anything…SCHOOL ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED IN 2022.
Each year we invite schools & community groups to participate in the festival by contributing in one of three ways. The UP CYCLED BEANIE category, the WEAR A BEANIE TO SCHOOL DAY or community & school groups can participate in the EARLY BIRD SNEAK PEAK of the beanie festival.
This year our theme for UP CYCLED BEANIE is ‘Aliens & Outer Space’. Open to anyone to enter, and great for kids (& school groups in 2022). We are inviting you to get creative and construct a fabulous creation open to all mediums that may include natural fibres, fabric, timber, metal or more. This section is free to enter & beanies are for display only, not for sale. Beanies can be of any size. They do not have to be wearable. Just create the illusion of wear ability. All entries will be judged on best use of creativity and recycled materials and are to be received by Friday 16th July. IN 2022 SCHOOL ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED ON:
- Best use of recycled materials.
- Best …. theme entry.
- Best Group entry for(2-5 people)
WEAR A BEANIE TO WORK OR SCHOOL DAY and pay a gold coin donation for the privilege on Friday 23rd July. Open to anyone to get involved. Many businesses and schools love the opportunity to have a bit of fun during their work or school day. This day helps us to support various community programs in the Murrindindi region.
