The Murrindindi Beanie & Fibre Festival is looking forward to presenting our clever, creative, Beanie & Fibre Festival as a live event and online auction in 2024.

The time is right to get creative again. The Murrindindi Beanie and Fibre Festival is always looking for community knitting groups or individuals to get involved and support the festival. Everyone can join in on the Beanie Fest fun.

Beanies and winter warmers donated will be available for sale over the weekend with some of the most popular beanies photographed, and put up for sale in our online auction. To secure the beanie of your choice, you can bid as many times as you want using your iPhone, iPad or computer. Just click on the link above in your browser. Winning beanies from the Beanie Fest competition will be posted on our website.

Located just North East of Melbourne in the town of Alexandra, the MBFF is a festival of fibre art, a feast of fabulous beanies, workshops, stalls and more. The community of Murrindindi and the town of Alexandra comes alive with all thing’s beanie, as people, lamp posts, shops, and businesses take up the challenge of wearing, creating or displaying the best creation. The success of the Beanie Festival relies on the generosity of the wider community who create the wonderful beanies and winter warmers that are on display and for sale throughout the festival. The beanie competition is all inclusive, open to anyone to enter, of any age and ability. Entries are Australia wide and our reputation overseas is growing. While many school students have taken up the challenge of creating their best beanie made from recycled materials, there is simply no end to the community’s creativity.
