Beanies and you – Work, Play, Create.

Beanies can be made of anything…SCHOOL ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED IN 2024. Contact Eleonor Tabone – 0400 399 645

Each year we invite schools & community groups to participate in the festival by contributing in one of three ways. The BEANIE KIDS RECYCLED CREATIONS or FIBRE ART categories, the WEAR A BEANIE DAY or community & school groups can participate in the EARLY BIRD SNEAK PEAK of the beanie festival.

This year our optional theme for BEANIE KIDS RECYCLED CREATIONS is ‘Mythical Creatures’. Open to anyone to enter, and great for kids (& school groups in 2024). We are inviting you to get creative and construct a fabulous creation open to all mediums that may include natural fibres, fabric, timber, metal or more. This section is free to enter & beanies are for display only, not for sale. Beanies can be of any size. They do not have to be wearable. Just create the illusion of wear ability. All entries will be judged on best use of creativity and recycled entries and are to be received by Friday 10th May.

IN 2024 SCHOOL ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED ON:

  • Best use of recycled materials.
  • Best ‘Mythical Creatures’ theme entry.
  • Best Group entry for (2-5 people).

WEAR A BEANIE DAY and pay a gold coin donation for the privilege on the Friday prior to the Beanie Fest. Open to anyone to get involved. Many businesses and schools love the opportunity to have a bit of fun during their work or school day. This day helps us to support various community programs in the Murrindindi region.

EARLY BIRD SNEAK PEAK COMING SOON IN 2024 once again, on Friday 24th May 10-4pm, we are throwing our doors open to local schools and community groups to view, the amazing beanies and winter woolly items that we have on show.  We invite you to join us.
